Who is Oxygen Tent/ MD 702?

Oxygen Tent/MD 702 is currently Jeff Rieter. Jeff lives in Athens, GA in a former "crackhouse" and uses software to create beats, a sampler to drop- samples, and employs FX to create melodic and atmospheric elements as well as occasionally playing bass while creating a live- remix performance.
He also has played bass in Baghouse since 1997 and has been known to collaborate with several groups in Athens and Atlanta, GA and occasionally with Stull in Montgomery, AL.. Jeff also does 3D animation.

When was the project conceived?

Oxygen Tent was conceived as a project focused on bass centric noise while on a drive back from Jeff Mc Leod's ( Gezoleen, Stull, Soundandchaos.com) home in Montgomery, AL sometime in 2000. Oxygen Tent/ MD 702 arrived in its present form in October 2001.

Oxygen Tent/ MD 702 has performed in Athens, GA as part of the Kudzu Film Festival after party festivities as well as club appearances. Oxygen Tent performed in Athens, Atlanta, and Hilton Head, SC. Baghouse performed on both coasts of the US and in Canada and Texas as well as spending a month in NYC recently.

Yes, Jeff spent medically sanctioned time in an oxygen tent early in life as treatment for a life threatening condition. This is different from Michael Jackson's reported use of similar devices as an adult. Jeff generally does not smoke cigarettes.
